Electrical control system for flat steel processing
The whole production line is equipped with a master control system. The main operating console is controlled by HMI (human-machine interface).
Relatively self-contained equipments have their own control system which has the ability of separate debugging by section.
The control system of each equipment is connected to the master control system by the bus.
The equipment controller is controlled by PLC and it is connected to the driver by the high-speed field bus. The equipments network for the whole line adopt Profibus communication, field operating console, box communicate with PLC through optical fibre
The control system is highly open, inter-manipulative, interchangeable, Integratable, highly reliable and maintainable. The system has the higher cost performance and lower cost of construction and maintenance.
The whole control system adopts two PLC CPUs in order to make the control of the production line fit together. The PLC is the SIMATIC S7-400 CPU of SIEMENS which connects CPU to touch screen through PROFIBUS network. DI/DO of the switching value in the control system is about 1100 and AI/AO of the analog quantity is 35 around. I/O modules are linked with each other by the field bus. The motors of the decoiling and rolling mechanism, tensioning mechanism, and storing mechanism in the drive system are controlled by the vector converter, and communicate with PLC through PROFIBUS-DP and Profinet network. The normal AC motor in the drive and technology parts are divided into two different kinds of startup mode according to the capacity: the motor of light-load equipment (below the 30KW) adopts direct startup mode (total-pressure startup) and the heavy-load one (above the 30KW) adopts the star-triangle decompression startup mode.
